Spruce :: Sewn Fingerless Gloves :: Free Pattern!
I had pulled out a few different scraps from my fabric bin to play with. I was thinking a small something something. Nothing big. Quick. Easy. Small. Well, my hands were cold. Really cold. And it hit me! Sewn fingerless gloves! Not exactly the easy peasy tiny project I planned, but very well worth it. I dug around in what I had pulled out of the bin and bingo! Felted sweater scraps. Perfect. I had one that was the shoulder section, then another that was the bottom ribbing and a sleeve. Hmm, how to make this work. Well I figured it out and work it did! Now my hands are all toasty while I work! Spruce as in the color as well as sprucing up some old sweaters!

Laundry Loader :: Free Pattern
Our bedroom was in order. Now it’s not. What happened? Laundry. Simple as that. We have no place to put anything as far as the laundry goes (from the laundry itself to the detergent bottle lying on the floor next to it). Well, the times are a changing, we need some order. And I also had all of these great 9” X 9” squares paired up for a kit that ended up not selling. So how do I get a cute clutch for craft accessories out of just 2 small squares of fabric that isn’t just a plain liner and an outer with a zipper.

Over Chirstmas break I went into a bag making frenzy. I made myself a market bag, my sister 2, and had plans for another for my friend. When she came over to pick out her fabric her daughter came along too. I told her that I would make her a market bag just for her. You know, kid’s sized. She picked out some awesome fabric and buttons for it. I whipped it right up and dropped it off at her house. I never did finish her mom’s bag. Her birthday in April for sure.

Dogzilla
I showed this to my boyfriend and he said “is it a llama?” and I said, “well, I suppose it could be, but I was thinking more like a dog godzilla deal.” I guess, take from it what you will, his species is up to you. I think of him as my crafting guardian and he resides in my too cluttered craft room (aka breakfast nook/my whole apartment).

Temari Ball Bag
I saw a new book on Temari at the public library. Dang it. I just had to bring it home. Then I just had to read it. And you see where this is going, I just had to try it! I collected up all my temari ball making supplies and soon realized that I would need something to put them in. I’m normally okay with zip lock bags, but for whatever reason, I wanted a temari ball bag that would have all my essentials for the ball I was working on. The other driving factor is that a temari ball is just the kind of favorite thing that my ferrets love to steal and hide and re-hide until they have really done a number on it. So a zipper was needed too.

Recycled Peace Ornaments
I have never really been a fan of decorating for holidays though, so I wanted something that could be used for a season. Winter Season. I like decorating for the season instead of the holiday. I guess I feel like it allows me to enjoy what I’ve done a little longer.
This project calls for felt and just about any will work great, but I really like using recycled sweaters and hence the name. I have a stash of old felted sweaters and this just seemed to call for soft white and red cabled felt.
