Ah such sweet musings of late winter, crafting, and *haaaa-chooooooo*. Umm, excuse me…where was I…ah, yes . . .and being sick. Seriously, I’ve been fighting some kind of cold/sinus/ear/throat/infection since Christmas. It never fails that I get sick while I’m at my parents’. This sweet bear is the Pu-Tai of my studio, he’s generous with a sweet smile and brings joy and bounty to my studio. Or at the very least, makes me smile whenever I glimpse him. You can pick up a kit for this great jolly Panda in the Shop here.
After so much intense sewing for the book, that pile of yarn is looking pretty inviting. Hi ya yarn, how’s it going? What have you been up to? Oh a sweater you say? Knit a sweater? I think I will. In fact, I think I’ll crochet one too.
It’s been fun pushing my pile of yarn WIPs and seeing what I want to finish up next. I’ve fallen back in love with these two projects.

Don’t you love it when you have a favorite card game? It’s you can’t get enough of it. Every time you and your friends get together, one of you pulls out a worn box and starts dealing out the deck. I do. And I don’t. After awhile that super-worn box for your cards starts really falling apart and those precious cards start slipping out.
Well, for my favorite “flavor of the day” game, I opted to knit my own little holder for them.

Ah, finally back to the crafty goodness! So nice. And the best kind, the bookish kind! This month’s issue of Craft Leftovers Monthly is all about loving books – reading, making, and hauling around.
Hopefully this will be the last part before the finishing post. Taking your generous advice, I went with option 3. After thinking about it, the gathers with the gathered fabric would have looked frumpy for sure. I think the nice, straight cotton is perfect. Plus, once I cut it out, the landscape of flowers was just too perfect.
