Want to learn to knit? Well, I want you to too. I’m pretty excited to share with you some pretty exciting news. I just finished a new zine for Iowa State University’s Intertwine Project. The coordinator and dream maker come true, Jennifer Drinkwater, conceived this project and enlisted my help. We (me, her, a ton of locals, regionals, and nationals – hey, internationals too – why not, the more the merrier, we need 2200 squares!) are yarn bombing a building on main street in Ames. You can read ALL the project details on the Artists Next Door tumblr.

So here is the fun part. There’s a digital edition that we are distributing for free. You can download it here

IntertwineSketch

And I’m also teaching a FREE and open to the public knitting workshop tomorrow evening from 5 – 7pm at ISU’s Design on Main Gallery. You get a print copy of the zine, yarn, and needles! And I’ll show you how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off your way to a knit square. Get the details on the facebook event page too.

Learn to knit, make a square, send it into the project and help us make an amazingly monumental art installation! And if you live in the area, maybe I’ll see you tomorrow :)

Until Next Time…
